Safeguarding & Privacy

The principles that govern access to protected child information

Administration

Report it. Don't broadcast it. Protection of the child comes before convenience of access.

Child identity protection

Personally identifiable information about a child is protected and shown only where authorised response requires it.

Reporter confidentiality

Anonymous and confidential reporting choices are respected throughout the platform.

Minimum necessary access

Users receive only the information appropriate to their authorised responsibility.

Case-level access

Sensitive case information is restricted to officers authorised on that case.

Evidence restrictions

Evidence requires appropriate safeguarding access and is never available for general browsing.

Geographic privacy

National intelligence is aggregated and does not expose children's precise locations unnecessarily.

Public / protected separation

Public report tracking never exposes protected case information. Report it. Don't broadcast it.

Access accountability

Access to sensitive information is logged and reviewable by oversight roles.
